Fr. Anthony Ciorra, Ph.D., is a leading expert on Catholic spirituality. He now serves as Vice President for Mission and Catholic Identity and Professor of Theology at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. Previously, he was dean of the Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education at Fordham University, director of the Center for Theological and Spiritual Development at the College of St. Elizabeth, and director of the Center for Spiritual Development for the Archdiocese of New York. His experience has included parish life, teaching, administration, retreat work, preaching, and formation ministries. He frequently leads workshops and retreats throughout the world and is active in creating programs for interreligious dialogue among Jews, Christians, and Muslims. An author, his books include Everyday Mysticism (1995), Beauty: A Path to God (2013), and Moral Formation in the Parish (1998). He is also the co-editor of Vatican II: A Universal Call to Holiness (2012). Fr. Ciorra holds graduate degrees in psychology, spirituality, and pastoral theology, a Ph.D. in historical theology from Fordham University, and a certificate in spiritual direction. In recognition of his ministry in the Church, Pope John Paul II gave him the pontifical honor Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice in 1999. He was awarded the Caritas Centennial Award in 2000 for his work in lay ministry and the Spirit of RENEW Award for his work in interreligious dialogue and ecumenism.

Sister Marie Paul Curley is a Daughter of Saint Paul, a worldwide community of women religious who enthusiastically communicate the love of Christ through their lives and every form of media. Currently, she is a writer for Pauline Books & Media, specializing in digital content. She has written several books about spirituality and prayer that have been published internationally, including Soul of Christ: Meditations on a Timeless Prayer and See Yourself Through God’s Eyes: 52 Meditations to Grow in Self-Esteem. Sister Marie Paul seeks to foster the dialogue between faith and art in her weekly blog on Catholic media spirituality, Windows to the Soul, and through her monthly commentary on current films on the Salt + Light Catholic Radio Hour. She also blogs weekly on discernment at Co-Author Your Life with God, and frequently guides retreats and Cinema Divina nights. Sr. Marie Paul has wide-ranging experience in producing other forms of Catholic media, including scriptwriting, co-producing dozens of Catholic cable TV programs, and developing websites. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Emmanuel College, and is a graduate of the ACT ONE Hollywood Writing Program. She has served as a script consultant and a jury member for various film and screenwriting competitions.

Fr. Dave Dwyer is a Paulist priest and Executive Director of Busted Halo Ministries, a media outreach of the Paulist Fathers that aims to help people grow in and share their Catholic faith. He is publisher of the award-winning BustedHalo.com.  He hosts “The Busted Halo Show with Fr. Dave Dwyer” on SiriusXM radio’s The Catholic Channel, a nightly call-in talk show, co-hosts “Conversation with Cardinal Dolan” with New York Archbishop Timothy Cardinal Dolan on EWTN, and hosts the “Sacraments 101” video series on YouTube.  Father Dave speaks in person around the country about evangelization and reconnecting young people with their faith. He has offered commentary in or on Fox News Channel, CNN, The History Channel, Entertainment Tonight, NBC Nightly NewsThe Today ShowThe New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” Previously, he has worked in campus ministry at the Universities of Colorado and Texas, and has developed young adult ministry programs for the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. Prior to his May 2000 ordination he directed television for MTV, HBO and Comedy Central. He holds a Masters of Divinity from Catholic University and a B.S. degree in communication from Syracuse University.

ValLimar Jansen returns to the Women & Men’s Conference this year after her rousing and inspiring presentation last year literally had attendees on the feet and dancing. She is a highly regarded inspirational/catechetical speaker, singer, composer and recording artist. Known especially for her work with contemporary Christian, gospel, and gospel-jazz styles, she sings a wide range of music, including spirituals and traditional, organ-based choral music. Active in the theater, she was part of the Broadway touring cast in the European premier of Raisin, in which she played the role of Beneatha. She also co-authored a one-woman musical about the life of Ethel Waters, earning a special commendation from the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. ValLimar has a long history of singing sacred music, starting from the age of five and professionally since the age of six. She received most of her training in music and performance at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and she holds professional degrees in the Arts from California State University and the University of California. She tours regionally, nationally and internationally as an inspirational speaker, an author, a storyteller, a psalmist, a song leader, and principal vocalist.
