FALL RIVER — Bishop George W. Coleman will award the Marian Medal to William Bouchard at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 327 Second Street, Fall River. First presented in 1968, the annual award recognizes members of diocesan parishes for their dedicated service to the Church. Recipients are nominated for the award by their pastor. The medals will be blessed and presented during a ceremony of Mid-Afternoon Prayer and Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction. Made of sterling silver, the Marian Medal is embossed with a Miraculous Medal on one side and the Fall River Diocesan coat-of-arms on the other. Congratulations Bill and thank you for your service to our parish!
Advent Evening Prayer and Adoration

Breakfast With Santa
The Youth Council sponsored Breakfast with Santa on December 14, 2013 from 10:00 – 12:00 noon. The Youth Council and FaithWays students served a breakfast to our young children in Grades 1-5. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage. Following breakfast, there was face painting, they made gingerbread houses, decorating Christmas ornaments, and singing carols. The parish community of Saint Dominic’s Parish Church celebrated the centennial anniversary of its founding in 1911.
